This morning I received WIPO Magazine via email and one of the featured stories immediately struck me as interesting – “Switching on to solar – goodbye kerosene“.
WIPO (the World Intellectual Property Organization) recently held a Conference on Innovation and Climate Change.
A few interesting facts from the article:
An estimated 1.6 billion people in the developing world depend on kerosene lamps for lighting.
