Fashionistas Take Over Harlem, NY

Nourishing NYC was happy to welcome back TJX volunteers on Wednesday August 10th for their annual cooperate volunteer day in Harlem, New York. With store manger, Steve Mulvey leading the crew, TJX volunteers spent their day harvesting local organic produce from the garden that will be used to feed in-need clients in East Harlem. In addition, they composted the remaining roots, leaves and fallen fruit for next seasons fall garden.  With a freshly tilled soil Nourishing NYC is looking forward to the fall 2011 planting. Pumpkins, squash, potatoes are just a few months away.
