The following stories from each of the International Ministries regions demonstrate our love for lost people through spiritual and/or holistic ministries around the world, made possible by GCF supporters.
BBC Mundo writes about “Educación 2.0“, noting OLPC’s programs in Latin America, Argentina’s Conectar Igualdad and Spain’s Escuela 2.0 projects. It discusses laptops, tablets, and access to knowledge online, and with a nod to the proposed full-saturation projects in South Korea and Thailand.
“We thought we might begin feel a bit claustrophobic on such a little island” says Alliance international worker Gordon Munro, who, along with his wife, Kathie, has served in Spain since 1985.
The Salvation Army Spain is striking back at the earthquakes that hit the town of Lorca in Murcia, Spain on May 11. The 5.1-magnitude quake and 4.4-magnitude tremor killed 9 people and damaged 80% of the town’s buildings.
Salvation Army officers traveled to Lorca to assess the area and spoke with the Spanish military and the Red Cross who are coordinating the emergency response.
