Washington, DC – The Semper Fi Fund will have over 800 community runners and over 50 Team Semper Fi members running in the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon — making the SFF the largest charity group on the MCM course on October 30!!

The Ride for Semper Fi kicks off Oct. 12 from Scottsdale, Ariz. and ends in MCRD San Diego. The 70 participating riders of the event, which supports the Semper Fi Fund, have been training for five months—some longer—completing rides of up to 100 miles a day.

Marine Corps League donates $10,000

Metrowest Marine Corps League Detachment 1037 in Natick donated $10,000 to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.
Five members of the detachment traveled to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., recently to present a check that will be used to support this fund.
Because of the Semper Fi Fund, which was created by Marine wives, more than $52 million has been donated to injured Marines and their families.

2,000 American flags sold to benefit wounded Marines

St. Louis (KSDK) – Hundreds of St. Louisans now own a piece of a very special 9/11 memorial that graced Art Hill in Forest Park. The memorial was one of the most popular displays in St. Louis over the past week.
Nearly 3,000 American flags that paid tribute to the victims of the September 11th terror attacks were removed from the display Monday.

Dolphin Tale Movie Screening

A complimentary private screening of the new movie Dolphin Tale has been provided to the Semper Fi Fund for injured service members, families and friends!
