Short Organization Description:
1% for Humanity® is a movement of businesses giving at least 1% of their annual gross income to humanitarian nonprofits. Through facilitating and growing this collective movement, we inspire consistent funding for nonprofits addressing poverty, injustice or other humanitarian crises. Membership provides businesses with a simple and tangible way to communicate philanthropic values to customers while being transparently accountable to a third-party certification body.

1% for Humanity exists to inspire and promote increased humanitarian giving in the business sector.  We continually seek additional for-profit businesses that will commit to donating 1% of their annual gross income to humanitarian nonprofits on an ongoing basis.  Any size company can join our movement and participating brands receive licensing to use our 1% for Humanity trademark to communicate their commitment to customers.  Please visit our website to learn more about participating member businesses and recipient nonprofits.

Changing The Equation on America's Approach to Science Education

Over 100 companies participate in funding various STEM programs across the country. While some may call it simple corporate social responsibility, the investments these business make stem from a desire to improve the educational standing of America's youth. The program aims to imbibe into the American culture an affinity for and perceived ability in performing competently in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
