About This Opportunity

Volunteers constitute 96 percent of our total work force to carry on our humanitarian work of the American Red Cross. To keep with the demand for volunteers, Volunteer Services strives to recruit volunteers from all walks of life and diverse communities to help prevent, prepare, and respond to emergencies. Volunteer Services is looking for a Chinese speaker who is proficient in the language to present the New Volunteer Orientation in our Chinese speaking communities.

The main activities of the Orientation Presenter-Chinese:
-Attend training
-Shadow at least 1 (one) New Volunteer Orienation
-Work with Volunteer Services to receive NVO materials and scheduled presentation dates
-Research Chinese speaking communities for future NVO offerings
-Travel to site and perform New Volunteer Orientation
- Communicate Volunteer requirements & promote volunteer opportunties

Qualifications:

-Must be proficient in reading and presenting in Chinese
-Comfortable speaking to groups
-Engaging and personable
-Must be proficient working with powerpoint, using a laptop and projector
-Must have reliable transportation
